My students love Free Choice center time in our classroom. This is their time to really learn through play. We have many center choices in our classroom that help us build important skills. The students love building with blocks and legos, creating art, playing in the dramatic play area (kitchen), and building motor skills through play doh. The dramatic play area gets the most use during this time. I am looking to expand this area of play by adding a dollhouse. A dollhouse will help build social skills, creativity, diversity, and their imaginations! I envision the dollhouse to be used by all of my students, not just girls. By adding the dollhouse with the dolls and furniture to my purposeful play centers, I would be creating more learning opportunities for them.
