The use of an under desk bike exerciser is almost a daily activity for students. Using the exerciser allows students to release energy that may be causing them frustration or contributing to distracting them. What becomes a problem is when more than one student is in need of the exerciser. There is only one available and many students benefit from its use. When students feel the need to use my exerciser students know that they must come to my office, missing out on class time just to see if it’s available. More often then not, it is not available. Even though they are great about checking back in with me, it is distracting for many of the students classmates who may also have focusing issues. By having exercisers in each class students will be able to avoid missing valuable class time all by having this simple instrument within grasp. By donating to my project, you will not only help improve focus and increase student attention but also ultimately increase their academic and social/emotional achievement.
