We live in an ever-changing world, and we need to have access to up-to-date materials that teach us about that world. My project will allow me to offer some current nonfiction materials to students who have not had such materials in a number of years. The average copyright date of the books in this library is 1986. That means our students have to try to learn about subjects with books that are, on average, 35 years old. The titles I have chosen for this project will be available for students to check out in order to pursue topics of interest and research topics mentioned in class. This project is the first step in offering students, who have previously only had access to aged materials, updated, interesting nonfiction material that will draw them into reading and using the library.
