When I surveyed my students, they overwhelmingly want to build a ceramics program at MMS. They talked about how exciting and unique clay is, and how fun it is to get to work with their hands. Clay engages students in a way nothing else can, as they build into three-dimensional existence something straight from their imagination. I'm all about art as a practice in the creative process, something students can take with them wherever they go in life. Getting to work with clay is a magical thing, and the step by step from an idea to a work of art you can hold really connects with students. I'm determined to open the door to that experience here at Morey, and you can help! Please consider donating to our school so we can build a ceramics program.
