Each day my students go to small groups. They take their iPads, their pencils, and their chairs. Once we arrive we make sure that we leave enough space for everyone in our group. Although we are a little squished together we love spending this small group time together. It allows us to get the quality small group instruction covering topics in more detail than we get to in class. I want to give my students a space were we can collaborate and work out our ideas together. With the purchase of this new table I will be able to fit more students at my small group table as well as allow them to have a more hands on experience with what we are working on. I often go back to my current area for more space during our math time. With the purchase of this table I can allow them to work out their math problems not only on paper with me, but even show me on our table.
