I have 600 students that I teach art to 1-5th grade. Not only will I use these supplies with my GT afterschool enrichment students but I will be able to introduce multiple grade levels to this new materials that we have not had before. All 600 of the students in the school will have access to these supplies, but they will have to be for in school use only. These are materials that need to be monitored and require instructions much like a science lab. We are a rural community and there are not many good art stores in our area and due to the large volume of students in this school our budget does not allow for these fancy art supplies. We don't have paint paper, we normally paint on card stock and tempera and watercolor are the paints they supply us with. It would be a real treat to introduce these students to this new medium. The GT program is an after school enrichment program with about 30 kids at any given time. My focus for these supplies is to let each student pick an artist to research and make a painting that describes what they learned about that artist.
