Hip hip hooray! My classroom will be filled with kids in a few days! Many of my students are returning to school for the first time since last March. Due to safety guidelines, students are unable to share classroom materials or rotate to different spots around the room during independent time. As I am preparing my classroom, I am trying to replicate the most "normal" and exciting school experience possible for my first graders. Last year, my students loved being able to choose a pillow, cushion, or stuffed animal to use during reading rotations. I would like to have enough cushions for each student to have their very own cozy spot so they can be comfortable while they're working at their tables!
