Within a special needs classroom many things are needed to engage the students and keep their attention. A document camera will do these students a world of justice and good. It will enhance the virtual teaching experience and learning process throughout many subjects. Document cameras are a great way to help students feel as if they're learning in the room with the teacher. Educators can actually be live with their students. Such subjects can be brought to life such as Science. Performing experiments where close-ups can be used to show chemical reactions. Using the camera in math will incorporate lots of teaching tools such as worksheets, playing cards, dice, cubes, and other manipulatives that are needed for understanding. In English/Reading the document camera can be a great way to read books together, annotate work as you go, and show how to adjust mistakes on homework with students. Just by placing stories under the camera to be read aloud can be used to engage to retain attention.
