Covid-19 has impacted so many students in so many ways. For my students dancing is their passion and for many of them dancing is a huge part of their learning pathway of the arts. Each year my students are given 2-5 opportunities to perform. Unfortunately, this year students won't have that opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. So instead I want to give the students the chance to "perform" and showcase all their hard work of learning and choreographing dance through Zoom. We will record their dances and turn that recording into a virtual show for all their family and friends to see. Because we need to stay outside to stay safe and follow safety protocols, we need a Marley floor and the other necessary materials such as foam and tape to help avoid injury from dancing on pavement. The Marley floor will also allow them dance to their best ability and provide some type of normalcy during this difficult time. It will allow them to use the proper dance footwear and execute the movements properly. After Covid-19 restrictions are gone, these materials can be reused in our auditorium stage for future performances.
