The books in this project will be used to better engage reluctant readers and help more students find books and genres they like to read. It will provide more book choices for independent reading, specifically a variety of different graphic novels and sports related fiction. Research shows that getting more students to read, and enjoy reading, produces significant improvement in students' reading and writing ability. The personal hygiene products will be available to any student who needs them. Many of my students come from low income families which can create barriers to accessing adequate personal hygiene. Poor hygiene can also affect students' learning. These products will meet some of the need for personal hygiene supplies and allow students to focus more on their learning.
