At Symsonia Elementary, there are several girls that do not have access to feminine products and support on menstruation and personal hygiene. I want to create feminine bags for our 5th and 6th grade girls, so that menstruation supplies are not something that they have to worry about. I would like to include pads, a tampon (for 6th graders), personal wipes, peppermints, lip balm, and a little note of positivity for them. I will also be sending home a letter to parents to make sure they know that these things are available in the nurse's office and I am also available to answer any questions they may have as well. I know that if a student's basic needs are not met, that will limit their ability to learn.
