If there is anything teachers have had to learn since Covid it is that we have to be able to adapt to a myriad of situations rapidly, and that we absolutely must equip ourselves with the skills and materials to be able to teach in a digital space. I have designed this project to help me do just that. These items will allow me to do two things: First, they will allow me to update the physical space of a classroom that has started to date itself; and secondly, they will help me transfer many of the things that we do in class onto Google Classroom or other digital platforms. The whiteboards will be replacing existing whiteboards that are either falling apart or are generally unusable unless scrubbed heavily with strong cleaning products. The printer/scanner/copier will help me transfer hard copies of curriculum that has become a mainstay in my classroom to a digital space in a timely manner. The iPad mount is for a recently acquired iPad that I plan to use for filming lessons and other classroom activities.
