Since our school is completely virtual my 4th grade students do not have access to our school library. They have access to some virtual books, but depending on their families' internet and how many children in the household have work to do at the same time, being able to sit and enjoy reading a book is limited for many of them. With the books in this project, I would create a mobile library in the back of my SUV that would travel from student to student essentially bringing the library right to them. The overwhelming majority of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds; going to the local library or purchasing books is not an option for them. This would allow them the opportunity to read amazing books, anytime, anywhere, with no worries of internet capabilities or increased screen time.
