The major role of education is to nurture the academic needs of our students. Sometimes, though, our students have basic needs that must be met before we can reach them on an academic level. Sometimes---it's personal! When students come to school and are lacking the basic personal necessities they need, it can be very heartbreaking teachers. Besides school uniforms and supplies, there are many items that our most needy students are not provided. I personally, along with many teachers at our school, have many students who come to school daily without a belt or even socks. These students continually get in trouble for not being in uniform, but they have no way to solve this problem. With this project, our school will be able to provide belts and socks for students who otherwise will have to do without. Thank you for helping us bring our project to reality and filling a very important need in our school.
