I started teaching just a few weeks ago, and my classroom currently doesn’t have many books that are written in Spanish. My students need books that are written in their native language so that they can continue to progress as readers. They need books that they can read and that reflect their age, cultures, and life experiences. I work with students from grades 5 through 12 with a wide range of English proficiency, some of whom only just started learning English recently and haven’t yet developed the vocabulary needed to read engaging stories in English. As a first-year teacher, being able to get these books for my students would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping me get the books my students deserve!
