One of my favorite memories of Middle School is my English teacher's classroom library. As a student, I thought it was so neat to be able to have conversations with my teacher and classmates about some of the books we all shared. Our classroom library felt like it was our ticket to anywhere we wanted to go in the world! I would truly appreciate the opportunity to give this same experience to my 8th grade students. Reading is such an important aspect of a Middle Schooler's life and access to diverse reading materials is a great opportunity to instill a love of reading in them!
