The materials given will make such a huge difference in my students' learning. Many of my students are from low economic backgrounds and many of the necessities such as pencils, erasers, sharpeners, etc. unfortunately, are not at their disposal. I desire for the use of whiteboards to be a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math, phonics, and writing. The whiteboards will allow me to see exactly what they are doing, quickly assess how they are grasping a standard being taught, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers and pencils seem to disappear, sharpeners break after constant use, supplies over time dwindle and become obsolete, and the whiteboards slowly become stained and worn out from frequent use. By having these supplies, students will be able to avoid if not all, most of these problems and focus on increasing their learning! By donating to our project, you will not only make a difference in the lives of students who are less fortunate, and many times are not afforded the same opportunities that other students who are better off or more fortunate are, but you will also be helping to improve and increase student attention and focus and social emotional health. You will be helping to enrich their academic achievement while ensuring that their starlit eyes never go dim because of the opportunity in which you afforded them, access to some much-needed supplies. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether they have the materials needed to carry out their learning task properly and effectively and donating to this cause will forever remain with us. Help us to SHINE bright!
