My students come to the school building every day. The instruction is done using an iPad in the classroom. I post the lessons on line and they each work individually from an iPad. The school has provided everyone with their iPad. This extra iPad is needed as a spare for those that might need it when they forget theirs at home. Given the circumstances and the stressful situation due to this pandemic, students come to school without their tool for learning (their iPad). Not until she or he is in the classroom, is when they notice that they did not bring their iPad. I do not want that student to be worried about how she or he would do their work for that day. We can have a spare device in the classroom ready to be used! Another need for this iPad, is that technology is very complicated and in the middle of their learning, and for no reason, an iPad starts to malfunction. It is very frustrating to have a student with no iPad when everything to be learned is accessed through this device. This extra iPad will be for that purpose. It will be kept in the classroom to be used by the student that needs it for any particular purpose.
