I am a first year kindergarten teacher. I was hired two weeks before school started and was given an empty room. I was NOT given a budget to set up my EMPTY room. I was given a few random han me down shelves as storage and that is about it. My room has been completely funded by me buying used books, manipulatives and toys for my kiddos out of my own pocket. I want to bring in new books, an easel and manipulatives for my students to continue to inspire their love for learning.
