During the global pandemic, we currently find ourselves in, I would love to give even my young learners a way to connect with their teachers and peers. Chromebooks can be overwhelming to a 3-5-year-old while most are use to playing with a phone or tablet. I would love to provide my class with a familiar way to still be reached even while quarantined or during school closure. Also by each having a committed device while in the school setting, person to person contamination can be avoided. Lastly, each of my students has individualized needs and abilities. By each having access to a dedicated device, programs such as communication or cognitive can be tailored to that specific student. This is why I am requesting a class set (15) of Kindle Fire tablets and accompanying cases (which are essential as students are ages 3-5), as well as a document viewer/webcam to be used for Zoom lessons, Virtual Speech therapy, IEP meetings, and instruction. Thank you so much for all of your help in teaching even the youngest learners.
