My students love gross motor activities and sensory play experiences. In our classroom right now, we are lacking gross motor opportunities as well as sensory experiences. These items will help to increase their gross motor activities and experiences. The sensory items will help students with their sensory needs and give them learning experiences to explore while using the sensory table and activities. Sensory experiences and gross motor activities are especially important for students with autism to explore throughout the day. In class, we make sure to incorporate sensory activities into our academics to help maximize the learning of my students.
