Learning how to assist fellow students in our school system (K-12) safely in the event of serious illness or injury. Our EMS Health Sciences Program incorporates a significant amount of hands-on training, in addition to the didactic training that they receive in the classroom. Realistic manikins offer a safe and effective means of patient extrication and transport from a scenario-based practice. Currently, our arsenal of manikins include large adult and infants, as well as use of a full size, fully functional ambulance. The children are a demographic that EMT personnel must learn to become familiar with, treatment processes that greatly differ from standard adult patients.
