I am a proponent of the current methods of teaching from my training with Michigan Teach for America Certification. They preach moving the classroom to a democratic model whereby the teacher serves as a facilitator. Among this democratic classroom should be the initiative of inward inflection time for each student to work independently and sharpen themselves. Drawing is an excellent method for doing so. I teach drawing using a Docucam, but the district has taken them away from us. I returned my cam back to my school on 1/15/2021. I recently had my Ipevo VZ-R HDMI/USB Dual Mode 8MP Document Camera — Mac OS, Windows, Chromebook Compatible for Live Demo, Web Conferencing, Remote Teaching, Distance Learning, 8 Megapixel (5-883-4-01-00) Drawing is a great way for kids to focus less on the teacher standing in front of them and more on the self-directed exercise that the teacher can demonstrate using a docuam. This inward inflection time created by drawing needs to consistent. Eventually, the students will adopt sketching designs when approaching all problems.
