This is my first project with Donorschoose. We have a very little music budget, supplies, and limited materials and equipment. I do what I can, but being a teacher it is not easy. Much like the body, a band is a sum of its parts. The addition of the new stands and new instruments would truly improve the musical experience of the entire band and also allow multiple students an opportunity to play in band class. The new stands will relieve students of the added stress that comes along with having broken stands in front of you. Without enough working instruments, students who desire to play in band but cannot afford instruments are not able to participate. This instrument will give my beginners an even playing field as musicians by not having to play on broken instruments, and it will help ensure that each of my advanced players will actually have an instrument to play on this school year. The new stands and instruments makes a huge impact!
