As my school transitions from totally remote into a hybrid and ultimately into being open at full capacity, I am looking for ways to keep my students organized and encourage their joy for learning. I am still going to have students who are fully remote through the end of the school year. I've found a TON of amazing resources on Teachers Pay Teachers that are great for students in the classroom and at home that will keep them engaged and excited about the learning. Another area I'm working to improve is classroom organization. I will have my students broken up into cohorts that they will work with, limit the amount of movement, and help with some social distancing. I plan to put a battery operated pencil sharpener at each table group. This will help them stay together and reduce possible exposure within the classroom. Many of my students enjoy sitting on the carpet to work. To give them that option, I'm requesting a few lap tables to give them that workspace and allow them the flexibility of choosing a different spot to sit in the classroom.
