By providing my students with a wide range of choices for books to read for pleasure, I'm trying to encourage them to read, and keep reading! I've added classics, such as Anne Frank and The Giver, as well as fun and always entertaining sets, like Harry Potter. I aim to provide a range of stories from different cultures and backgrounds, and stories that my students can relate to, both in their own lives and in the world today. By building a strong classroom library, I hope to never have a student without a book in their hands, or the struggle of which book to chose next.
