The games selected will help students with their executive functioning and creative thinking. With the memory/concentration games they'll be able to strengthen their short term memory and ability to focus and concentrate. Other games like Lego and Gravitrax promote creative thinking by having students use their imagination to build things and become "master builders". By utilizing games where multiple students can play at a time, students will learn social emotional skills by learning to play together. As the school counselor, I am able to create a learning center in our school's new Media Center. This allows my project to impact our entire school, as all students and teachers will have access to this center.
