Young children do not learn through intellectual and theoretical abstractions especially when it comes to music education. They need actual experience to enjoy and learn music skills.  The use of soprano recorder is a perfect way to start applying the knowledge they have learned and will enable them to sight-read notes and play simple pieces. Now that we are still on a remote learning platform, it is really important to have some kind of instrument at home for students to use. The use of soprano recorder is a perfect instrument for young learners because it is just the right size for young children's hands and it's a very portable instrument. The kids can carry it from home to school easily. The project aims to provide a venue for my students to develop understanding and appreciation of the fundamentals of music through active engagement in singing, reading, listening and playing instrument/s.
