My students are always highly engaged when using technology in the classroom. Unfortunately, our Chromebooks are outdated and hard for my 4th graders and 1st grade after-school students to use. Most of our class period is spent troubleshooting with the computer. With the use of this iPad, we could open so many doors for hands on, exciting instruction! I would love to use this device in center activities, in focused remediation efforts, and as a reward for students. Although I only teach math for fourth grade, this would be used across all content areas during my after-school instruction with my first graders. By donating to my project, you will help provide updated technology to our rural, poverty stricken area. Most students have rarely used a computer before coming to school, and I know that this iPad would lay the groundwork for endless possibilities, long lasting memories, and fun instruction!
