As a young child, I LOVED everything about art. So much so, that I became an art teacher. The teacher that inspired my love of art retired last year and this year, I found myself teaching in the same classrooms I was once a student in. However, the classrooms still contain the same furniture as they did when I was a student some 20+ years ago. Warped tables, cracked chairs, peeling shelves, rusty carts, etc. Art departments often get overlooked. I am looking to update some of the furniture to help better suit my students studio work environmental needs. Sturdy work tables that can withstand glaze and clay work are very important to a functional ceramics studio. The current space isn't being used to its full potential, and new furniture would help expand our work capabilities. The length of the tables will also allow for 6' social distancing, making it a safer work environment during Coronavirus as well. My students and I would love to be able to use this space. Currently, it remains empty, as it isn't adequately equipped to hold classes with restrictions in place. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated by both the students and myself!
