My students are full of energy and are excited about learning. This can cause their voices to carry while they are working collaboratively in groups. They are on task, but the noise level can be distracting to their peers if they are learning independently. My classroom is set up in centers, so when groups are working together I have other students working independently. My goal is to get a classroom set of noise-canceling headphones so students can work with fewer distractions, while they are working independently. Noise-canceling headphones would be beneficial to what my students need in order to work in all learning environments.
