Flexible seating in the classroom allows my students to have multiple seating opportunities where they will be engaged and learn to love reading. My students enjoy moving around the room, and they do not enjoy sitting in the same seat all day. The seating I have picked for my students will allow them to sit in different places around the classroom to complete assignments, write, and read. Flexible seating in my classroom would provide my students the opportunity to chose seating that will help them reach their maximum potential. My students will be able to sit on the carpet with their floor desks, sit at a table with stools, sit at a normal classroom chair with a chair band, and even sit in the reading center in a big comfy chair. I have seen how letting my students make their own choices in the classroom makes them more engaged, better behaved, and more excited about learning.
