My district has not been 1:1 with devices, but post-pandemic-second-semester-cancelations, we were promised we would be. Due to forces beyond our control, the school purchased Chromebooks have not arrived and we do NOT know when they will. That being said, I would like to help my students with a couple of devices in my classroom. Amazon Kindles are a cheap option, but more than that, we can use the devices for our weekly independent reading as well as being able to transition to more eBooks in general as students who do not have a device can use one of mine.
