Our students love science, especially hands-on science. The Building Blocks of Science 3-D: Push, Pull, Go - a kit with everything needed to explore motions and forces that make things move - introduces students to the basic concepts of movement and how forces play a part in movement. While we have done STEAM projects, this conceptual kit will give students background knowledge they will need when they design their "not-a-box" boxes, a project that requires them to make a box into something else. Inevitably, when we do the not-a-box project, they want to make cars, jets, and spaceships. The Push, Pull, Go experiments will help them think of their projects in terms of how they move. The kit contains all that is needed for 13 half-hour lessons with the opportunity for students to experiment with the concepts and it is reuseable.
