I am requesting a brand new laptop to teach with. While working remotely during this pandemic, the true reality of how dependent on tech we are, set in! . My current school-issued device overheats and randomly shuts down. The laptop is bound to the charger as its battery life is just shy of two hours. My students will directly benefit from this new laptop as I use it for everything... live video instruction, lesson planning, parent communication, grading, documenting and so much more! In the classroom, this device will be a fixture that is open for students to use when they forget their device. This device will also be used to cast my PowerPoint lesson to the SMARTboard. Requesting a new device from my school district could take months. Learning can't wait! In this crazy new world, dependable technology is paramount. Please consider donating to my project.
