When a child comes to school, it is assumed that they will be safe and protected by the adults around them. The AED trainer and manikin will serve to train staff members in the proper response in an emergency situation. Providing actual hands on practice will increase the success rate of resuscitation for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. A safe environment empowers successful learning. My plan is to hold at least two AED/cardiac arrest drills each semester with our crisis team. It is my hope that the students and the staff can perform their best without worrying about their safety. I love these children and want the very best I can provide for them.
