This year has brought a lot of challenges and newness into the learning environment of my classroom. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, my students' learning gaps are higher than they have been in the past. My hope is to close in those gaps as much as possible, but I know I can't do it alone. Along with using curriculum and standards-based instruction, I use various computer-based intervention programs that aid in improving reading fluency, comprehension, and phonics. With these programs, it is crucial that students are able to hear and respond to the tasks at hand. In addition, I do a lot of small group instruction. While I may work with some students in a group, others may work independently on a computer-based program. These headphones would really help my students stay focused, even with different activities going on in the classroom. They would also help my students in improving their reading fluency and phonics skills.
