Students will use these books to open their eyes to a variety of diverse perspectives. Many of these books will be used to create in-class "book clubs." Students will be able to check out and access these books to ensure that they have access to reading even during virtual learning. My students are passionate, compassionate, and creative. They would make so much of these books! My students are expected to read daily and make meaningful connections to their texts through art and creative summative assessments. I would love to be able to show them these books as options for the in-class Book Clubs! Moreover, I would be so glad to be able to provide diverse perspectives from different authors to my passionate readers.
