My reading and math groups are all taught virtually. Many teachers have had to adapt and to this new way of teaching and there has certainly been a learning curve. In this remote environment I need ways to share reading and math materials with students as well as model math skills in real time. With a reliable document camera, I will be able to help my hard-working kiddos learn more efficiently by bringing the remote materials to them clearly magnified on screen! In my math groups, I will be able to walk through math skills and problems step by step and model the work for my students right on the paper so that we can work through it together in real time. This camera will show printed sheets clearly so that my students on Google Meet or Zoom can follow along. With my reading students, I can magnify reading passages and easily mark them up as needed. Additionally, I can use the camera to model problems with math manipulatives as well as for word building and spelling activities.
