Hello! My children celebrate World Kindness Day each year. This year, we made over 60 dog toys (sewed by hand) that we donated to a local animal shelter. For our next project, we will be making quilts for a local homeless shelter. The students will learn that a blanket of their own can be a comfort for children experiencing homelessness. We sewed our toys by hand, but it sure would be great to have a machine for quilting. The machine will be useful to my classes for many years to come.
