My special education students are struggling to learn at home, and my school is doing everything we can to get my students onto campus safely. Teaching during the pandemic means the safety of our students comes first. Therefore, I need more supplies than ever if I want them all to experience a safe hands-on learning environment and experience, as sharing supplies is now out of the question. With your help, these tools will help my students reach their personal goals and help us do a more specific plan to benefit each child individually. I have two students that struggle to stay seated, the "Cuddly puppy weighted lap pad" would be used to help students stay safe and in their seat. Learning with the "AlphaSketch Lightup", will help the students to learn to trace the alphabet and get more familiarized with spelling and how letters should be written. As many of our students are still developing basic motor skills such as correctly grabbing and using writing utensils Items such as "Fill it up Fine motor Jars," "Squeeze Scoop Count ice Cream," and "EasySqueeze fine motor Scoop" will be essential for their development. Sensory learning is crucial for many students things such as "All about me photo book" will help students identify and distinguish familiar people by using pictures. As we continue to social distance, being able to have enough material to help them have their own small sets is important so having designated portions of "MagnaTilessupsup" "Stretchy Sandsupsup set" and the "colored kinetic sand" will help us separate and have individual portions that will only be used by one student.
