Learning multiple subjects and concepts in school can be overwhelming. BrainPOP will boost my students engagement by providing instructional content using animation, graphics, audio, text, and interactive quizzes and games. My students will be able to gain background knowledge on different historical events essential to understand grade level standards for social studies. Through graphics and animation, students will be able to understand complex scientific concepts such as the water cycle or rock cycle. Creating opportunities for students to talk and interact with each other is a fundamental part of our learning in my classroom, and my students will have multiple opportunities to engage in discussions to talk about their understanding or clarify information during and after watching BrainPOP's short videos. BrainPOP will encourage vivid and enthusiastic academic conversations in my classroom. Children live in a technological world and they are used to being exposed to information in multiple modalities. BrainPOP will be used in my classroom on a daily basis to review information, support understanding of complex concepts, and build background knowledge. BrainPOP will increase interaction among my students and boost interest when learning about multiple subjects.
