In my sculpting unit, I like to give my students options to capture their interest. We tend to use more traditional mediums like clay, paper mache', and found objects. However, students are always intrigued by new technology. I find that offering a technology option increases participation and buy-in from my students. The 3D Doodlers combines technology, design, and creativity that my students will love. I also teach my students to be good stewards of the planet, so I love that the plastic medium is made from recycled materials. Future jobs will most definitely include 3D technology. These pens are a great introduction to design in this form.
