Providing adaptors for Yamaha keyboards will open up a new world of music for my students. Second, third, and fourth grade students have the confidence and drive to work, create, and perform independently. Currently, our general music classroom is not equipped with the technology or resources to help their creativity flourish. With keyboards, students will be able to demonstrate and utilize their music reading, performing, and composition skills in projects which are responsive to their interests. Opportunities for collaborative work among students on self directed song writing projects, as well as reading music to learn songs they are interested in, are two examples of relevant and responsive approaches to music education for my students which can be achieved with these adapters.
