My second graders and their families have opted to continue online learning and are stuck at home without access to my classroom or school library. I want to provide them with high quality, varied texts that they can hold in their hands and grow as readers while being supported digitally by me as their online teacher. Scholastic's "Storyworks 2" includes thrilling nonfiction, fiction, read-aloud plays, quizzes, skills activities, videos and so much more! Students will have access to the printed magazine and online tools as a part of the Storyworks 2 subscription. With this project, I will enhance my students' literacy skills through additional digital tools purchased on Teachers Pay Teachers. These created resources will equip me with the necessary digital assignments to engage my students and reinforce the literacy concepts taught. My students are eager readers, and through the "My Home Library with Digital Engagement" project, they will thrive from both printed materials and digital tools to accelerate their online learning at home this year in second grade.
