Having a printer and scanner to use will assist my students in many ways, especially while learning virtually. I love using technology to assist kids in the classroom to learn conceptionally, but then my students need to be able to use their conceptional learning to learn procedures. It is very hard to use an online document to show math work, graph by hand, and use proper notation and symbols. This printer and scanner will assist my students in my virtual and hybrid math classroom by giving them a paper copy of guided notes and examples to highlight, mark up, and study from; allowing them to create graphs by hand, show their work, and use the proper math notation and symbols; all while lessening their screen time! Some of my students have printers at home, but most do not. I am especially concerned about my students with IEP's, 504 plans, and students that struggle with notetaking and organization (especially while learning virtually). By having this printer, I will be able to share a paper copy of some assignments to all students. The scanner will allow me to scan my own work and print or upload my examples for my students to see, even when we do return to the classroom.
