Students earn HERO points/money when they are being helpful, putting forth their best efforts, being respectful to other children and adults, and for staying on-task. They may spend points/money at the HERO school store on shopping days. Our students look forward to these rewards, and they also learn positive behaviors like saving up their points/money, goal-setting, being responsible, and waiting for things they want. Using extrinsic motivation leads to intrinsic motivation to show positive behaviors. We hope to show our students that good behavior pays off! Thank you for your efforts to support the HERO program!
