Due to COVID, my classroom library has been permanently shut down. Our school library is no longer loaning books and even the local libraries are not allowing patrons the opportunity to borrow books. Students need to know that reading goes beyond ELA class! Although I am a Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher, I have my Masters in Reading. I am also a certified Literacy Specialist. Reading has remained a passion of mine, and I try to incorporate it into everything that I teach. These subscriptions will help my students tremendously! They will be able to have access to high-quality non-fiction text and how to have to worry about spreading any germs! That's a win-win situation! Furthermore, students who are fully remote will also have access to subscriptions using the digital format. That means all of my students will have the opportunity to read and learn about the most up to date happenings in Math, Science, and Social Studies!
