My classroom has always been a lively place full of students eager to learn through group projects, thrilling discussions, and thoughtful writing reflections. Since COVID-19, it is more important than ever to create and sustain a safe classroom environment that can have the same energy for learning that it had before the pandemic. I want to provide my students with a clean classroom where they can freely learn without the threat of getting sick. A lot of students are discouraged from returning to school after witnessing how the coronavirus has impacted our community. Many of my students have health conditions and living situations that put them at high risk for contracting the coronavirus. I also have a health condition that renders me especially vulnerable to respiratory illnesses. Children and adults should feel safe in schools. An air purifier is essential for mitigating the spread of the virus and other airborne illnesses. With your help, I can provide my students with clean air in a safe classroom environment ready for learning to happen.
