Your generosity has provided my students with an invaluable hands-on learning tool, transforming the way they engage with algebraic concepts.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment my students first saw the magnetic graph paper, their excitement was palpable. Their eyes lit up as they realized they could physically manipulate graphs and explore transformations in a whole new way. One student eagerly exclaimed, \"This makes so much sense now!\"—a moment that truly affirmed the impact of your contribution.\r\n\r\nWe used the magnetic graph paper for a week to explore key mathematical concepts related to graphs of quadratic functions. Recently, during a lesson on transformations, students worked in small groups to plot parent functions and then apply shifts, reflections, and stretches using these whiteboard spaces. Instead of struggling to visualize abstract changes, they could see and adjust transformations in real time, deepening their understanding and boosting their confidence. Watching them actively discuss and collaborate, using mathematical language with such enthusiasm, was a testament to the power of interactive learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are preparing to tackle graphing scatter plots and finding line of best fit. With the magnetic graphs, students will be able to create these graphs with the ease of knowing they can easily correct their mistakes and have a large visual representation of the concept. Your support has laid the foundation for these meaningful learning experiences, and I cannot wait to see my students continue to grow.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you for making this possible. Your kindness has provided more than just a classroom resource—it has created opportunities for discovery, engagement, and success in mathematics.","fullyFundedDate":1733281993784,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-show-our-math-thinking/8748599/","projectTitle":"Help Us Show Our Math Thinking!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Moe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1585972_orig.jpg?crop=571,571,x66,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725727391006","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-moe"},{"teacherId":2661954,"projectId":8750486,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating the sinks. Before they arrived, students had to go around the corner to clean their hands after their Science experiments. Now, they can wash them from the classroom. The sinks have made a huge difference and impact. We can't thank you enough. When the students dissected the frogs, they got guts and frog goo all over the floor. If we had to go around the corner to get water, it would've made a huge mess. This year, when that happened, all we had to do was to get the paper towels and water from the sink and we're able to clean the goo and guts right away. Thank you so much.
